About
Founded in 1985 in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, Saffron Kashmir Farms is a well-established supplier and exporter of premium-quality saffron and dry fruits (while in season).
Approximately 70–80% of our produce is cultivated on our own farms, while the remainder is sourced from nearby farms.
In addition to their culinary applications, our saffron and dry fruits are known for their medicinal benefits. They contain naturally occurring plant compounds that support disease prevention, antioxidant activity, and overall health. We operate with a well-developed infrastructure divided into multiple functional units, ensuring quality and efficiency at every stage. Importantly, we do not use any chemical substances in our cultivation process.
Our fields in Village Gundbal, located in the Pampore region are historically known for producing the finest saffron. These fields yield fresh, authentic, and high-quality saffron. Our Kashmiri Mongra saffron features deep red, long, soft, and silky threads, distinguished by its strong aroma (safranal), high coloring strength (crocin), and rich flavor (picrocrocin). Only the dark red stigma is included, ensuring superior purity and quality.
Saffron cultivation in Pampore traditionally relies on indigenous techniques. However, outdated methods have contributed to soil depletion. The adoption of modern agricultural practices and scientific crop rotation can improve both the economic viability and environmental sustainability of saffron farming.
With growing global concern over synthetic pesticides and additives, we emphasize natural cultivation practices. Kashmiri farmers do not use chemical inputs, and our saffron is free from synthetic pesticides, preservatives, additives, and artificial coloring. Based on these practices, we confidently present our saffron as pure and organic.
Our saffron is sourced from the current year’s harvest, ensuring freshness, purity, and guaranteed quality.
